Zeal Care: Empowering Underprivileged Children in Liberia Through Education

Zeal Care is a registered nonprofit in Liberia that empowers underprivileged children aged 4 to 17 to break the cycle of poverty through full education sponsorship, leadership development, entrepreneurship, STEM career paths, and digital education. Based in Monrovia, we pay school fees, provide uniforms, books and shoes, and mentor each child so they can stay in school and lead change for the next generation.

What Does Zeal Care Do?

Our mission is to give children from low- or no-income backgrounds the resources, opportunities and support they need to build a brighter future. We run five core programs: Education Sponsorship, Support and Advocacy; Leadership Development; Entrepreneurship; Career Paths in STEM; and Digital Education. You can read about each one on our What We Do page.

Zeal Care treats every child as an individual, but we never support anyone in isolation. We partner with slum and rural communities, parents, schools and community leaders, because helping a child means investing in every part of their life, not only paying tuition.

Who Does Zeal Care Help in Liberia?

We serve children who live in slums and rural communities and who either never enrolled in school or dropped out for a year or more. Our story began in 2017, when our founder surveyed communities across Montserrado, Margibi and Bong Counties to understand why so many children were out of school. In September 2024 we fully sponsored our first four children from Chicken Soup Factory, Block D. In April 2025 we became a legally registered NGO and extended our work to West Point, Zone 405, supporting sixteen more children for the 2025 to 2026 academic year. How Can I Sponsor a Child or Donate?

You can give once, set up a monthly gift, partner as a company, or contact us to arrange a bank wire transfer. Every contribution is used for school fees and tuition, uniforms and books, shoes and supplies, mentorship and training, and digital exposure.
